I'm back to blogging, i guess.. after a couple of months of no action whatsoever...

Well. currently im staying at my grandma's place till my new house's reno is done...

Recently, too I've went shopping for new clothes, with a total budget of $300 (paying back my mum at the end of year when i get a job)..

Well so far I've bought this:

I splurged a little on this scarf-thing from Topman at $29

I got these shoes from Converse at $69.90

I also got a shirt-thing and a leather belt (questionable?) at $30 and $35 respectively from Future Men (I'm now a member.. haha)

I'm wearing the shirt right now, so I guess I'll post it up some other time...

Also got 2 plain white tees from Muji (shared cost with Kyaw Min for a pack of three, he just wanted one... haha), I paid $12...

Now left my shirt from Zara Man, hopefully can find it at Marina Square...

And the last tee from Bugis Street... Going back to buy it soon..

Well i guess thats all for now, getting ready to go down to Esplanade for the Spanish Fantasia by Philwinds...

omg so looking forward to tmr!!

anyways.. havent blogging in a while... nothing much.. today went to watch Ghosts of Girlfriends Past with Joon, Dyon, Cray, Gen and Jeap... lol it sounds like everyone has a nickname... the movie was quite okay.. spent quite a lot of money... the nachos were a waste of my money, they were quite awful...

anyways submitted my songwriting assignment.. had to make two recordings, WRITTEN (whatever i wrote, despite the clash notes... augh...) and the INTENDED (what i actually intended), so im just going to upload the INTENDED here.

ehh... i need a website where i can upload my song... and play it here... please dont say imeem... doesnt seem to work on my comp... any suggestions...?

PS Swing Girls Is/Was a good movie!

PPS since when, in an instrumental list, does the Eb clarinet come after the Bb clarines?

yeh.. from studying at esplanade library to this:

we (michelle, josephine and i) decided to have lunch-dinner (linner? dunch?) at ICHIBAN SUSHI at the esplanade, coz there was this $5 offer thing from 3 - 5.30pm. yeah.

meeting josephine for the first time, haha nice to meet you :D

I myself got the unagi and egg pasta, it looks like quite a small serving... without the green tea, of course. had to pay $1.10 for it...

Michelle got the Chicken Meatball thing and Josephine got the beef thing. Haha so vague

Mish likes onions (not)

i got one of the crepe rolls (same price as normal sushi, $2.10. not as fantastic as i thought it would have been D:)

not sure why... they were REALLY amused by this

Mish and Jo were amused by these hat things...

the lovely sweet fish flakes thing on top of the sushi... ah...

you see all the sushi... we didnt buy any of them. we just... window-shopped, of sorts.. haha

Wow look at Jo's expression... take again, take again!!

there. the thing which cheated our money. a scoop of ice cream atop a lot of cornflakes... thought it would more filled with ice cream... sigh... $6.90

all gone. haiz..

total for everyone: $29.50... ouch. hahahaha

Yeh... after trying out just about every single 'sane' spectacle frame in the store, i finally found one which was nice. it wasnt what i was looking for, and i was tempted to go to another store... but the more i looked at it... the more i was convinced, so i got it... hope i dont regret... will probably be wearing it for a while... so yeah.

went down to sas, did a little bit, yes a little bit of practice, just before going down to rehearsal. once again i think rehearsal was pretty good, except i think maybe im not good enough... certain parts i just cant execute nicely.. due to technical problems, or intonation just due to the fact i cant tell if im sharp or flat... some of the higher notes... i cant control them either... composers really do give Eb clarinetists/piccoloists hell when they write pp or ppp on really yucky notes... haiz...

well.. will try my best!! looking for more work, though. anyone can help?

just chatted online with Mr Ozawa, such an interesting, enthusiastic and friendly man!

LOLZ today i took the circle line for the first time, was so intrigued! took from lorong chuan to serangoon hahaha i today then realise nyjc is right next to lorong chuan mrt, im such a loser.

of course i couldnt resist snapping pictures, being me. quite deserted... guess it'll take some time for break-in, yeah? quite nice experince... high ceilings, very spacious feeling. nice

had a good rehearsal today too, with spartacus, am super looking forward to the concert!!

went to collect my pay too $27 (4.5 hours, i was 20 min late for work ._.)

woke up pretty late today, btw... why am i posting backwards-chronological order?

so today was the second and final session with Mr Ozawa-san, he's such a friendly, approachable guy who's really interested and all for making music. I feel the band has benefitted greatly from this experience, and I myself have learnt many things from Mr Ozawa-san himself.

Mr Ozawa-san and myself

Mr Ozawa-san and a couple of my clar-ists

Mr Ozawa-san, jeremy and joon hoe

so, by then I'd gone pretty high, and so Elijah and i went to take picture with Mei Ling :D we were talking about how tired she was by the end of the session and still had to translate for the Q&A session.. haha

thats all for today, i guess.

phew. back from the first day of work. lets start from the morning:

classes as usual, followed by a short break for breakfast at macs :D and then band, a warm up, and intro to Mr Ozawa-san (he's so cute! ahaha i want to take a picture with him!!).. and then a couple of band directors and such came down, recognised mr brando tan, mr albert tay, and a couple of others, they came down to take a look at the features of the Yamaha Harmony Director 200 (ours currently is 100, i think we should buy the 200 lor its so much cooler).

the demo was pretty tiring, we had to do a warm up a couple of times, and also some time-consuming exercises (including singing, which i think amused mr albert tay), but the purpose was to show the before and after difference of the band, which i think came through... everyone was pretty bushed by 5, though... (most of the guys were down since 8am!!)

mr ozawa-san ended late, at 5.30pm, and that resulted us (dyon and i) being late for work ON OUR FIRST DAY!!! omg... was pretty shy, coz like you're a NOOB right... lol

damn suay. first job, serve/clear drinks at the reception... i have never been a clumsy guy with dishes or anything... but...

I spilt coke all over a lady's dress (and her shawl)

LIKE OMG! like first 15min leh... suayness to the max lor

i was damn... like demoralised after that ): but things went better, i did MUCH better, learnt a lot of things... i think i can do the job pretty well already :D ahaha

finished at 11pm, sianz so tired, but going to collect the pay only on friday... hopefully the next few dates will be on weekdays... i wouldnt want them to clash with nyw pract....

so im at home, my ass hurts (sitting on a chair for, what, 4 hours?) and my feet hurt (work)... im so glad i have my cookies and cream ice cream with me...

well, sps won (lol, they were PREPARED... hahahaha) 5-2.

had a nice lunch with siddiq, raymond and dyon (raymond and dyon had to borrow money from me... lol) at kfc...

slacked most of the rest of the day, played Overture 2 countless times, yes, its very nice, okay.

stayed pretty late, till... 7? not so sure.. was so exhausted when i came back... fell asleep immediately on the bed.. zz

this is quite nice, i got the last two packets from 7-11... choco banana so cute right

was quite limited as i had to take this in class when i should have been doing the Sourced Based Questions in History...

well ill have to look for new snacks to munch on in class...

the stupid yellow/brown twin marker leaked all over my calculator... luckily chui's wet and dry paper managed to get most of it off... this is the (before) picture, btw.

the main word is 'photosynthesis'. nice one, bob.

couple of 'interesting' photos i just uploaded on the band blog

thats all.

PS first working day tmr, cant wait (i hope it ends up as a good thing, haha)
